A packed beach looked on Sunday evening when a 10-foot, 1,000 pound Pygmy Sperm whale floated up on shore.
The whale beached itself near the Breakers Resort around 21st Ave. Beach goers pleaded with police and other emergency rescuers to help the animal, but experts said there was nothing more that could have been done to help the already ill whale.
